Information submitted through the form
The required fields are name, work email, the type of help needed, what is happening now, what a successful result looks like, and an acknowledgment that sensitive information does not belong in the form.
Company or organization, phone, work location, platforms or vendors, desired timing, approximate budget, and preferred contact method are optional.
Do not submit passwords, recovery codes, private keys, identity documents, protected records, or other sensitive credentials through the public form.
How inquiry information is used
We use inquiry information to respond, evaluate the request, recommend the next step, and prepare a proposal or scope. We do not sell inquiry information or add it to marketing lists.
Form, spam filtering, and mail delivery
The form is built with Contact Form 7 and uses a hidden honeypot field plus Google reCAPTCHA to reduce automated spam. reCAPTCHA may send device, browser, interaction, and network information to Google under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
The site sends accepted inquiries to our monitored Google Workspace mailbox through an authenticated Gmail connection and stores a copy in WordPress. Copies may also be included in routine GoDaddy site backups and Google Workspace retention or backups.
Customer and project administration
After a successful inquiry, name, email, company, phone, selected service, work location, timing, budget range, and contact preference are copied to Square Customer Directory. We use Square to manage follow-up, estimates, agreements, invoices, and payment records. The detailed problem, desired result, and platform information remain in the monitored mailbox and WordPress inquiry record and are not sent to Square. Square's Privacy Notice applies to information processed there.
Appointment scheduling
The project-fit booking link opens a Google Calendar appointment page. Google processes the name, email address, optional phone and company details, project context, selected time, and timezone needed to schedule the call, send confirmations, create the calendar invitation, and provide the Google Meet link. Do not include passwords, access codes, or other credentials in the booking form. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that booking page.
Website and service logs
The GoDaddy Managed WordPress platform and related security or delivery services may keep normal technical logs, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and delivery events. These records support operation, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and security.
Access and retention
Inquiry information is accessible to The IT Guy KC and the service providers needed to operate the site, filter spam, deliver messages, and administer client work. We do not currently apply a fixed automatic deletion period. We remove records when they are no longer needed for follow-up or ordinary business recordkeeping, subject to accounting, security, legal, and dispute-related retention needs.
Analytics
The site does not send form-field values to analytics. If site measurement is added later, name, email, phone, company, budget, and message text will not be used as analytics properties, and this notice will be updated before the behavior changes.
Public examples
We publish client names, private information, screenshots, or results only with written permission. Public examples use work we own, public data, sanitized material, or clearly identified demonstration data.
Access, correction, and deletion
To ask about, correct, or request deletion of inquiry information, use the project inquiry form. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
